Refund Policy

1. Scope

This policy covers one-time credit purchases and monthly Pro subscriptions, both paid through Stripe.

2. General Principle

Because our products are digital and delivered instantly, purchases are generally non-refundable, except as set out below and as required by mandatory consumer-protection law.

3. You Only Pay for Successful Conversions

A credit is consumed only when a paid Output is successfully produced and made available to download. If a conversion fails — engine error, timeout, corrupt input, or a result we cannot generate — no credit is charged, or the credit is automatically returned. “Success” means a downloadable Output was produced. Dissatisfaction with quality, geometric error, or a result that differs from your expectation is not a basis for a cash refund, because mesh-to-B-rep reconstruction has inherent tolerances (see the warranty disclaimer in our Terms). Such cases are addressed through the automatic-return mechanism above, not cash refunds.

4. Subscriptions

You can cancel any time; your Pro access continues until the end of the current paid period. We do not provide pro-rated refunds for partial periods, except where mandatory law requires it.

5. EU / EEA / UK Consumers — 14-Day Withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA or UK, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital purchases. However, by starting to use a purchase (for example, by consuming a credit or beginning a conversion) after giving your express consent to immediate performance and acknowledging that you thereby lose the right of withdrawal, you forfeit that right for the portion consumed. Any unused portion may still be refunded; consumed portions are deducted on a pro-rated basis.

Compliance hook: this only holds if, at checkout, the customer explicitly consents to immediate performance and waives withdrawal. Configure this in Stripe Checkout (consent collection + custom text) before relying on this clause.

6. Billing Errors, Duplicate Charges & Fraud

We fully refund proven billing errors, duplicate charges, and unauthorized/fraudulent transactions. Contact us as soon as you notice one.

7. How Refunds Are Made

Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method via Stripe, normally within 5–10 business days.

8. Disputes & Chargebacks

Please contact info@vertessia.com before opening a chargeback — most issues are resolved quickly, and the automatic credit-return mechanism already covers failed conversions.
